I wistfully look back on those great trips as the little red lantern. The one thing that saved me from total humiliation was that I was a trauma doc who could quickly gauge the severity of companions' injuries. I'll never forget the way Lori nursed me up Mt. Ventoux (sp?), with such class I didn't appreciate what she was doing. That was ten years ago.
